How to handle the waste of white corundum abrasive?
White corundum abrasive is one of the important products for polishing and grinding various workpieces in industry. The color is pure white and will not cause any trouble to the color of the workpiece. The hardness reaches 9.5, second only to diamond, and it is one of the hardness abrasives in artificial abrasives. It has good self sharpening performance, slightly lower toughness, less heat generation during the grinding process, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and very good thermal stability. This series of advantages have contributed to the important use of white corundum abrasive in industry. However, the problem of waste after the use of white corundum abrasive for workpiece processing is also one of the problems puzzling the production of enterprises. How should these Industrial waste be cleaned up?
After processing the workpiece, white corundum abrasive will produce abrasive precipitation, which mixes with other debris on the workpiece. It is hard and dirty, making it very difficult to clean. At the same time, due to the high hardness and high temperature resistance of white corundum abrasive, enterprises need to work hard to soften during the cleaning process, let alone thoroughly clean it.
Taking 1200 mesh white alumina micro powder abrasive as an example for workpiece grinding, it is very difficult to clean the residual impurities and some oily substances after processing the workpiece. Is there a simple and feasible solution to quickly dispose of white alumina abrasive waste?
The treatment plan is as follows:
Due to the acid alkali resistance and high temperature resistance of white alumina abrasive itself, and considering that the main component of white alumina abrasive is aluminum oxide, high concentration hydrochloric acid is used for cleaning, or a high-pressure cleaning machine is used for cleaning. Also, during the polishing process of the workpiece, attention should be paid to the post processing process. Therefore, treatment measures can be taken before the white corundum abrasive waste precipitates, using a circulating pump or stirring device to keep the white corundum micro powder abrasive in motion and not deposit quickly. When the workpiece is polished and the equipment is shut down, the white corundum abrasive will not immediately deposit. This is the time to process the white corundum micro powder waste. If conditions permit, a hole can be opened at the bottom of the sedimentation channel, or a pump device can be used to suck out the waste of white alumina powder, so that the abrasive and mixed liquid can be processed in a timely manner, reducing the difficulty and process of subsequent processing.
