operational principle

The 20 gun lifting conveyor sandblasting machine is driven by the phenomenon of siphon. Under the guidance of high-pressure gas, the abrasive flows through the sandblasting gun along with the gas, and then sprays the abrasive onto the surface of the product, producing a sandblasting effect and achieving uniform processing requirements on the product surface.

Local Features

a. The equipment adopts a belt conveyor method, with a total of 2 sets of belts, which can be transported in both forward and reverse directions. If it is a product that needs to be sprayed on both sides, simply place the product on the opposite side of one end of the equipment and place it on another set of conveyor belts. Fix the product on the fixture and then place the fixture that has been fixed on the belt flat. The running speed is stable and uniform, and the product will not shake too much during the sandblasting process, Ensure the uniformity of sandblasting on the product surface. Robots or robotic arms can be used at both ends of the equipment to replace manual operations and achieve mechanized production.

b. The conveying motor of the equipment has added a frequency conversion speed regulation function, allowing for the free adjustment of the operating speed during sandblasting for different products of different materials, achieving the maximum improvement of sandblasting efficiency and effect. Two sets of conveyor belts can be in the same direction or in the opposite direction, making the operation simple and convenient.

c. The spray gun swing motor also adopts frequency conversion speed regulation, which can meet the requirements of processing different types of products. When spraying thinner products, the swing frequency can be adjusted to achieve the required sandblasting effect without deformation of the product.

d. The equipment adopts a bucket type lifting method to recover abrasive, which passes through a sand hopper on the belt, transports the abrasive to a storage bucket, and then returns to the sandblasting gun. Bucket lift recycling greatly saves the high-power fan required for pneumatic recycling, reduces energy consumption, and reduces the noise generated by the fan. The sand material passes through a 100 thousand special separator to ensure full separation of sand and dust, achieving good abrasive circulation and dust absorption into the dust removal box.

e. The control of the equipment adopts a linkage protection type. If any door is opened, the spray gun will not sandblast, which can effectively protect the human body from damage caused by careless operation.

2.3. Purpose: The flat conveyor sandblasting machine is suitable for sandblasting all flat workpieces, with good sandblasting effect and high processing efficiency, and is suitable for large-scale sandblasting of many products. This device has simple requirements for operators and is suitable for unskilled general workers to operate. It can also be operated by robots and has a wider range of applications.

Compressed air source

In order to ensure the sandblasting effect, it is necessary to provide sufficient pressure and flow rate of dry air source for the equipment. There are a total of 20 sets of sandblasting guns in the equipment, each with an air consumption of 0.6MPa pressure (1-1.5 m3/min). The equipment needs to be matched with a set of 100 air compressors, a refrigerated dryer, and a set of 1m3 air storage tanks. The corresponding filter should be installed and equipped. The pipeline connected to the sandblasting machine is 1.5 inches, and a 1.5 inch ball valve should be installed at the connection point. The air source can be turned off when the equipment is not in use or maintenance.

Power supply: The total power of the device is about 7 kilowatts. Install a protected three-phase four wire or three-phase five wire 60A switch power supply at a distance of no more than 2 meters near the device, which is convenient for machine wiring and installation aesthetics, as well as maintenance.

Connection of the machine

After the power supply, air source, and equipment reach the designated location, proceed with the installation of the equipment. The connecting pipeline between the dust removal box and the host is an 8-inch PVC pipeline, and the dust removal ports at both ends of the host are connected by a 3-inch PVC pipeline. The separator is connected to the host using a 6-inch wear-resistant steel wire hose, and the electrical control box of the equipment is connected to the wall switch through a 4 * 6 square cable. Note: If the phase line is connected incorrectly, the electrical control box will automatically alarm and the power phase line needs to be readjusted.

Loading of abrasive

After confirming the correctness of the electrical and pneumatic installation and debugging, start filling the abrasive. Before adding the abrasive, clean the debris inside the equipment, turn on the fan, use a manual blowing gun to clean the debris in the engine room, both ends, and inside the screw. Stop the fan, open the pressure cover at the bottom of the separator, and use a rubber frame to catch the debris until it is clean. Then turn on the fan and slowly pour the abrasive into the main engine compartment. As the high-pressure wind abrasive gradually absorbs into the separator, approximately 150kg of abrasive is added for the first time, and then gradually added as needed. If too much abrasive exceeds the separator cone, it will be absorbed into the dust removal box, causing waste. If there is too little abrasive, the sandblasting gun will produce uneven sand, resulting in poor sandblasting effect. If there is sand gambling phenomenon on the steel wire hose at the back of the machine when adding abrasive, then remove the sealing plug at the front end of the spiral Cao and remove the abrasive by hand until it can be smoothly sucked into the separator.

Adjustment of compressed air pressure

After installing the machine, confirm that the electrical connection is correct, then turn on the equipment, close the front and rear doors, turn on the fan and sandblasting main switch, and then turn on 1-2 sandblasting switches in sequence. Pull out the pressure regulating valves on the top of the front end of the equipment one by one, then rotate them clockwise. Each regulating valve corresponds to a sandblasting pressure gauge. When the air pressure reaches the required pressure, press the pressure regulating valve knob inward and adjust one by one to obtain the required sandblasting pressure.

Adjusting the air volume of the separator

The equipment is generally set according to the maximum wind force when leaving the factory. When selecting abrasives of different thicknesses, it is necessary to adjust the air pressure and volume of the fan. There is an adjustable air door at the connection between the dust removal box, separator, and the main machine's suction pipe and pipeline. If the equipment uses relatively fine abrasives, it is necessary to loosen the screw of the air door adjustment slide plate, and then move the slide plate back about 30-50mm to ensure that the dust can be sucked into the dust removal box.

Dust cleaning

This equipment adopts a filter type dust removal system with pulse vibration, so there is no need to manually knock the cloth bag. Under the frequency of pulse vibration, the dust automatically falls into the small hopper at the bottom of the dust removal box. After each work, the fixed fixture of the hopper is loosened, the hopper is pulled out outward, and the dust is poured to the designated position, and then the hopper is restored to the bottom of the dust removal box.

Startup operation

Ensure that the electrical and gas connections are correct. After the equipment is installed in place, adjust each running motor one by one to ensure the correct direction of operation. After cleaning the equipment debris, add abrasive and turn on the fan, conveyor motor, screw motor, spray gun swing motor, pulse, and sandblasting switch one by one. First, use the scrapped product for trial operation, and after confirming that the adjustment is OK, start processing the product. Before leaving work, turn off each switch one by one and clean the machine and surrounding area.

Common faults and troubleshooting

During the use of the equipment, there may be some malfunctions that affect normal production due to operation or other reasons.

Some areas on the surface of the product cannot be covered during sandblasting due to:

1. The nozzle inside the spray gun is blocked, or if the nozzle is not tight enough during assembly, the nozzle should be backed out. The solution is to screw out the plastic part in front of the spray gun in a counterclockwise direction, clean foreign objects, or assemble the nozzle in a flush position with the rubber sleeve.

2. Block the sandblasting tube, pull out the connection between the borax tube and the bottom of the separator, align the manual blowing gun outside the machine with the nozzle position of the spray gun, and blow continuously several times. Be careful not to face the direction of the sandblasting tube towards people. Confirm that the sand tube is unobstructed, and then insert the sand tube back into its original position.

3. Due to the fact that the product undergoes precision machining with other equipment after processing and before sandblasting, some iron slag may remain in the holes of the product. After sandblasting, these residues will fall into the machine and mix with the abrasive. Therefore, if similar phenomena are found after sandblasting for a period of time, all the abrasive must be discharged from the outside of the machine for screening.

4. After using the equipment for a period of time, if the sandblasting gun does not produce sand or the amount of sand produced is very small, it indicates that some parts of the sandblasting tube have been worn, cracked, and leaked. At this time, only replace the sandblasting tube of the same length.

5. If there are other mechanical transmission or electrical faults, it is best for professionals to replace and resolve the fault.

Equipment maintenance

Any device requires maintenance during use to ensure its efficiency and lifespan.

1. Regularly add grease to the bearings of various parts to ensure sufficient lubrication of the bearings.

2. Regularly clean the dust inside the dust removal box.

3. Regularly inspect the machine's air and sand pipes to see if there is any leakage, and replace them promptly if necessary.

4. When the equipment is in use for about 10 months, remove the filter element and clean it with an air gun before reinstalling it in its original position.

5. Clean the sand and dust from all parts of the machine before work every day to ensure that the machine is clean and tidy.
